She Took My Heart and Went Crazy

“Why do you have to look at me like that?” Sheena fidgeted as he pushed his pants to the ground with the same hateful glare. “Like you hate me?”

“Because I do.” Killian took his seat again. “Now,” he kicked his leg out in front of him and grabbed the heavy looking monster that was too big to even be considered normal, and stroked it, “come suck my dick.”

Sheena stood flabbergasted at his approach. Even for Killian, that was too much, and that was saying a lot since all that nigga knew how to do was be rude. For the life of her, she couldn’t make her words come out. A good cursing out was on the edge of her tongue, but she was too shocked by his behavior to even deliver it appropriately.

  “Killian?” she asked exasperatedly.

“Killian what? Do the shit or get out of my way so I can go home.”

Still standing, Sheena gasped. “What the fuck is wrong with you?”

A loud huff and quick movements were his answer. Killian had stuffed himself back into his pants and stood to his feet.

“I’m tired as hell. I ain’t got time for this shit.” He walked past her and proceeded back out of her bedroom door.

Sheena wasted no time taking off behind him. By the time he’d reached the top of her hallway, she’d caught up with him.

  “Killian, wait.”

Kilian stopped but didn’t turn around and didn’t say anything.

“I’ll do it.” Sheena scratched at her scalp. “I just wanted a little more attention tonight, that’s all.”

  “I ain’t your man, Sheena.”

The ruined past between them hung heavy in the air. Neither of them bothering to acknowledge what the real problem was. Sheena especially. She’d be a fool to do that. The ignorance and hate that made up her and Killian’s relationship was all her fault, and she knew it. It had been inwardly eating at her for the past two years. All she could do was mask her feelings for him because they surely weren’t going away.

  “I know.”

Silence filled the air until she walked up to him and grabbed him from behind. Her arms circled his waist as her hands slid around his stomach. With her head resting in the middle of his back, she closed her eyes and inhaled his scent. Killian was a fucking addiction. She hated to want him the way she did, but she couldn’t let him go for nothing in the world.

  “I miss you.”

The hardening of his body let her know that he’d heard her. Even if he didn’t respond. As long as he knew, that was all that mattered to her. Killian was a special case, and Sheena knew it. He was hard on the outside but soft as paper on the inside. He would argue and insult her all day, but his heart always told the truth on him.

  “You don’t miss me?”

Killian’s hands grabbing hers gave her some hope. The pads of his thumbs stroked the back of her hands as he held her hands snuggly against his chest.

“I miss you too.” He sighed, and his head fell forward. “But, I can’t do this shit with you again.” He released her hands and stepped out of her grasp.

Once he’d faced her, he stuck his hands into his pockets and gave her his undivided attention. His tall, lean, but muscular frame presented as edible as the candy she’d just been eating, but that face. God, that face. If only she wasn’t so shallow. Almost everything about Killian was perfect except that face. He was hideous… well, not hideous, but she could do better. She was too pretty not to.

“I’m not your fucking toy, Asheena,” he said, calling her by her government name.

Sheena loved it when he did that. It always sounded so personal and sexy. No man ever really called her that, so when he did it, it made her heart skip a few beats.

“You ain’t about to play with me. I’ll fuck you, but I ain’t loving you, and I mean that shit.”

With her pride tucked to the side, Sheena nodded her head and walked to him. Once she was in front of him, she pulled her gown over her head and pulled his hands from his pockets. Her gown hit the floor, and at the same time, she placed both of his large hands over her breasts. She held them there until he began to rub them on his own. It didn’t take long before he was grabbing and groping her everywhere. Sheena was in heaven. All night she’d been watching and salivating for his sex, and she was finally about to get it.

With smooth, familiar movements, she and Killian became entangled on the floor. Nude and ready, Killian positioned himself between her legs with his condom in hand. Sheena watched him as he slowly rolled it over his erection.

“You like Jaylen’s cousin?” Wonderment covered her face.

The subtle rolling of the condom paused as he looked down at her. “That ain’t your business.”

“I don’t want you to like her.” Sheena rubbed his forearms.

“I don’t give a fuck what you want.”

Sheena sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes. “She’s pretty, but she’s so skinny. She ain’t got no ass, titties, nothing.” Sheena snickered to herself. “I mean, she has long hair and dresses cute, but that’s it. I think you can do better.”

The awkwardness that surrounded them made Sheena feel a little skeptical about her remarks because that wasn’t like Killian. He was the king of comebacks, so for him to be quiet could only mean one of two things. He was either thinking about what she’d said or getting angry. It took her no time to find out.

“Bitch, she’s got more heart than your fake ass.” Killian stood to his feet and snatched his condom off. “Fuck you talking about, she skinny. So, the fuck what?” He began to redress while laughing to himself.

Instead of lying on the floor looking like the butt naked fool that she was, Sheena scooted backward to her sofa and shielded herself with the throw blanket she’d had earlier. At this point, she was clear that there would be no sex, so she didn’t even bother to keep her hopes up.

It made her feel smaller and smaller every time she heard him mumble something while putting his clothes back on. Once he’d gotten completely put back together and slid his hat back onto his head, he faced her and pointed his finger with a throaty chuckle.

“You know what, you a raggedy ass woman with a horrible mentality. You better get that under control, or you’re going to be by yourself forever.”

Sheena scoffed. “I doubt it. Any man I choose would be lucky to have me.”

“You think you’re so much when you ain’t shit.”

Killian gave her a look that could kill before snatching her front door open and seeing himself out. The door slammed so hard it shook her walls.

“Stupid ass nigga!” she yelled after him as if he could hear her.

Utterly embarrassed, sexually frustrated, and in no better shape than she’d been in before she’d called him over, Sheena stomped back to her bedroom and got into bed. Her night had been long and was clearly about to get longer thanks to Killian the jackass. With no other choice but to allow her body to be tortured with need, Sheena slid beneath her covers and closed her eyes. Hopefully, sleep would find her soon. At least then, she could possibly have a wet dream.

  ***

That hoe has some nerve, Killian thought as he drove down the empty highway. It was nearing five o’clock in the morning, and he still hadn’t gotten home yet. After leaving the club, he’d been headed home when Sheena had called. Had he followed his right mind and never gone to her spot from the beginning, he probably wouldn’t be as annoyed as he was right then.

The moment her name had popped up on his phone screen, he’d been a bit irritated. Going against his better judgment, he’d gone to her house anyway, only to be dragged into a mood much worse than the one he’d been in prior to her call. Sheena was a handful, and he did his best to steer clear of her. He’d had enough of her to last him a lifetime, and anytime he was in her presence, he was reminded why.

It was crazy how the person who made you feel like the world was yours was the same one who could make you feel like dying. Sheena had been that person for him, and because he’d learned his lesson the last time, she’d never be give
n a second chance. No woman would. Not even East.

A small smile crept across his lips as he thought about her. That was the person he needed to stay away from. She was a threat to his sanity, and he needed at least fifty feet when it came to her. He chuckled when he thought about obtaining a temporary restraining order against her. That was crazy but funny as hell. In his car alone, Killian cracked up laughing. That would be absurd as hell for him to get a restraining order on East because of his inability to control his thoughts and feelings when she was around.

The thing that blew Killian’s mind the most was that she didn’t even do much to stand out amongst other women, other than be real. Her eyes told her truth, and he died to see it whenever in her presence. Her truth didn’t hurt him, it actually gave him a notion of peace and a happy life. She might have been just as big of an asshole as him, but she was just as soft. Maybe that was it, maybe he liked her so much because they could relate to each other. That feeling was a high that he wanted to keep feeling, so it was time to feel it.

Killian grabbed his phone and dialed her number. She didn’t answer the first time, but he tried right back. This time, she answered woozily. Killian turned his radio up making her louder on his Bluetooth.

“Wake your ass up and talk to me.”

A soft snicker came through the line, making him smile as well.

“Yes sir, daddy.” She yawned. “Why you not sleep?”

“First of all, call me daddy again. Then we can talk.” Killian smiled as he waited to hear her voice some more.

“I’ll call you daddy when you’re in this pus—” East giggled and stopped herself.

“Nah, girl, say that shit with your li’l nasty ass.”

Her soft laughter filled his ear and his heart as he pulled in the parking lot of the Waffle House near his neighborhood.

“You’re the nasty one. I just be following your lead.”

With one leg hanging out of his car door, Killian stood to his feet and walked inside the restaurant. “That ain’t good. I’m all fucked up. I’m the last person you need to be following.”

“I don’t know why you keep saying that. The only thing jacked up about you is that attitude. Everything else about you is perfect.”

Killian could feel himself smiling again as he nodded at the waitress and grabbed the menu from his hand.

“You’re only saying that because you don’t know me. If you knew me, you’d know better.”

Some shuffling on her end interrupted the first part of her sentence.

“What you say? You making all that noise in the phone. I couldn’t hear you.”

The line was quiet, but he could still hear background noise that let him know she was on the phone.

  “East?”

“Sorry,” she whispered. “I had to use the restroom, and I didn’t want to be talking all loud in the hallway. I think Jaylen and Onyx are asleep.”

Killian nodded absentmindedly as the waitress approached. “Let me get the steak and eggs, but I want egg whites and another piece of steak with hash browns and wheat toast.”

“Oh! Where you at?” East’s voice was filled with excitement.

Killian laughed at her. “Waffle House. You must be hungry?”

  “Starving!”

“Aight, what you want?” Killian waved the waitress back over to him. “Aye, let me get that order to go, and I want to add something else. Baby, what you want?”

Killian’s head dropped at his slip up, but East didn’t miss a beat.

“I want the same thing you got minus the extra steak, and I want my hash browns smothered.”

Killian placed her order and added her a coffee to go before going back to their call.

“Thank you, daddy.” She spoke to him sweetly.

Again, Killian was smiling, and she wasn’t even there. That was that erratic behavior that prompted his restraining order.

“You’re welcome, beautiful. I’ll bring it to you in a minute.”

“Are you far? I don’t like my food cold.”

“Nah, not for real. I stay right around the corner from Onyx them. I can be there in about five minutes.”

East sighed into the phone. “What you about to do after you bring my food?”

Killian heard her underlying question loud and clear but was going to let her say it. Though he hoped she was hinting at what he thought she was, he wanted to be sure.

“I’m going home, East. What else I’ma be doing out at this hour?”

“Who knows?” She tittered a little. “But that’s none of my business.”

He was laughing with her when the waitress brought all of their food over to him. He handed her the cash and stood to leave. Once back in his car, he pulled off and headed for Onyx’s house. He and East made small talk along the way about him tricking off after leaving the club. She was so cool and easy to talk to that he’d almost told her the truth about Sheena, but it was too soon and very unnecessary.

  “Come get your food, gorgeous.”

“K!” East told him before the line went dead.

Killian was busy pulling her food out of the bag when the passenger side of his door opened. East slid in, picking up the bag of their food and placing it in her lap. She smiled brightly at him. He didn’t know if she was happier about him or the food. Probably the food, though. He’d learned long ago that he got a better response when he came bearing gifts.

“Hell you smiling so hard for?”

East’s hair was covered by a large, satin scarf. It was a light purple color with white stripes on it. The way her ears stuck out on both sides made her look like an elf. Her skin was bare and flawless. It looked like she had a light coat of something on her lips, but that was it. Everything else about her was plain and natural. Including her pajamas. The light blue pants with the matching top were plain but fit her nicely and didn’t reveal anything.

“Because I’m happy to see you.” Her smile brightened. “And because you brought me food.” She clapped her hands playfully.

Killian smirked before taking his food from the bag. “You can take the bag.”

East’s smile dropped. “You just gon’ drop my food off and leave?”

“What else I’m supposed to do? It’s almost tomorrow. I’m ready to get in the bed.”

The way she poked her bottom lip out and crossed her arms across her chest in disappointment shined a light on Killian’s future. She was surely going to get whatever she wanted from him if she did that every time. On top of him already being a sucker for women he liked, it was too cute to ignore.

  “You pouting?”

  She nodded but said nothing.

  “For what? Ain’t you tired?”

When she ignored his questions, he laughed.

“Tell me what you want then, East.”

“I want us to eat together.”

Killian sat back in his seat and looked at her. “See, that ain’t even fair. You gon’ eat and go right in there and go to sleep. I’ma have to drive all the way home. I might fall asleep while I drive.”

East’s arms dropped, and she smiled a little. “I’ll talk to you while you drive.”

When her head tilted to the side, and she peered at him innocently, Killian became water. Just like Onyx said, he slid right under her feet. The second she poked her bottom lip out again playfully and rested her hand on his leg, he was a goner. The deal was sealed. He’d walk home if she asked him to.

  “Aight, just eat your food.”

Her smile widened across her face again as she lunged across the armrest and roughly hugged his neck. “You’re the best.”

Killian’s hand that was the closest to her rubbed her back as she held onto him. “How long you plan on hugging me.”

More of her giggles followed. “Sorry.” she made herself comfortable in her seat again before smiling at him. “Can I just go with you?”

“Hell yeah, if that’s what you want to do,” Killian said without thinking.

  That requir
ed no thought on his end at all. That had actually been his first thought, but he hadn’t known if she’d go for it.

  “It is.”

“Well, put your seatbelt on and grab this.” Killian handed her his food and pulled away.

Neither of them said much as he drove, just listened to the music and chilled. When he pulled into his parking space, he killed the engine and grabbed their food. East was right on his heels as they headed into his home. The living room was empty, but the TV was on. East stood close to him and waited.

“Come on, we can eat in my room.”

They walked down the hallway together but stopped when they heard loud feminine moans coming from Gabrion’s room. East’s nose turned up immediately.

  “That’s Gabrion, come on.”

“Lord.” East shook her head and continued behind him.

Killian flipped the lights on and kicked his shoes off while she pulled her pants off and made herself comfortable on his bed. Her long, brown legs and smooth, round bottom held his attention until she covered them with his black cover.

Killian nodded toward the plastic bag holding their meals. “Take the food out.”

As if waiting for his instruction, East prepped their breakfast while he stripped down to his briefs. He was walking to the bed to join her when he caught her eyes. She was looking at him in the same way that she had the first night they’d had sex. Her mouth was slightly agape while her eyes were fixed on his body.

“You must be trying to get fucked again?”

East’s eyes shifted like he’d broken her out of some sort of trance. She looked away, clearly embarrassed.

  “Sorry.”

Killian made himself comfortable on the bed before leaning over and quickly pecking her cheek. “Ain’t nothing to be sorry for.”

She nodded and proceeded to eat.

“Tell me about your boyfriend, East.”

“Eww, why? And he’s not my boyfriend anymore.”

“I just want to know about you.”

East remained quiet for a minute, just eating her food. Killian watched how peaceful she looked in his bed. She’d scooted down beneath the covers while her food rested on her knees. She belonged there, it was obvious. She was too comfortable. Nobody could tell him otherwise. His bed and East were made for each other.
