RECKLESS (Nash's Story) (RECKLESS series Book 2)

As we approach my motorcycle, I feel Reece tense. She no more wants to go for a ride with me than I want to take her. “We can just chill…talk a little…unless you really want to go for that ride.” Just like I thought she would, she shakes her head telling me that we’re not riding together tonight.

“What happened in there?” I’m referring to Caydon and his lack of manners.

“I’m not really sure.” Reece is perplexed. She hasn’t had the privilege of taking part in the Caydon, Nash, and Hannah show.

I decide to play my part by pretending I dislike Caydon. “Like your cousin said…he’s a douchebag.” Seed planted.

Reece cocks her perfectly curved eyebrow. “Tell me about Hannah.”

Most of the female population would agree that men are scum when it comes to relationships. Times have changed. Women are beginning to alter the landscape. It’s commonplace and accepted that a woman can exercise her own evil intent when it comes to a man’s heart. Hannah is that girl. How do I explain that?

“She’s Caydon’s girlfriend.” My ex-fuck. An engaged whore. Cheater. Slut. I could go on all day.

“Oh.” I can tell she is disappointed that I won’t elaborate.

“So, you’re from Florida?” I pretend to know nothing. However, I know everything.

  “Yep.”

  “What’s it like living there?”

  “Hot.”

  “Do you miss it?”

“Not at all.” Of course she wouldn’t miss it. Her mom died of alcoholism. Reece was her primary caregiver.

“Do you like bikes?” I get on my motorcycle.

“I guess so. I’ve ridden only a few times.” She gives me a weak smile. “Yours is nice.

I start to rev my engine so it doesn’t turn off when idling. My bike has a nervous tick.

“You can damage your engine if you do that too much!” Caydon yells from behind me.

I smirk while congratulating myself on making Caydon take the bait. I cut the engine. Caydon is having a hard time not staring at Reece. I’ll give him credit. He’s trying really hard.

“Maria wants you inside.” His voice is flat.

Reece stands up, obeying every word Caydon is saying. In fact, she appears to be thankful. Everything about her body language strengthens my belief that there is a connection between Reece and Caydon. I just need to light the fire under both of their asses.

As Reece attempts to walk past me, I latch onto her arm. Caydon’s rage bleeds from his pores. He wants to hurt me for touching Reece. My plan is going well.

“Baby, you don’t have to go, yet.” I’m trying my best to be the most believable dick in the world. Trust me, I hate myself for scaring Reece, but it needs to be done.

“Yeah. She does.” Caydon speaks for her. It’s working.

Still holding onto Reece, I laugh as loud as I can just to provoke him. “She’s not your girlfriend, Caydon. You can’t tell her what to do.” I’m beyond impressed with my acting skills. “By the way, I talked to Hannah the other day. She sounds great.” Actually, she cheated on me… wait… on you… hell… her fiancé. Oh… and she is a lying, manipulative, backstabbing bitch that is pretending she is loyal and righteous.

Caydon’s hands clamp together and turn white. He wants to hurt me. “Leave Hannah out of this, Nash.” Hannah is definitely on his mind, but he’s focused on Reece. “Go inside, Reece.”

Reece watches both of us carefully. Finally, she starts to walk. I need to up my game. Grabbing onto her other arm, I see that I finally get the reaction I’ve wanted from Caydon. He wants to protect her.

“What do you want to do, Reece?” I ask her. I know what she wants.

“Let me go, Nash. I want to go inside.”

“Baby, we were having fun, right? What’s the rush to go back inside?” I lay it on thick.

What happens next is unexpected. “Fun? No, you were having fun with yourself.” Reece snorts.

I grip her arm harder making her skin turn purple. Caydon is no longer amused. He’s livid. I expect him to hit me, but it is Reece that uses her free arm to punch me in the jaw.

Even though I’m proud of her, I have to keep the act up. “Fucking bitch!”

Caydon makes an attempt to hit me, but Reece brings her right knee up and crunches my balls. My hands fall to my cock, and I fall to the ground in pain.

Reece is definitely her father’s daughter. No doubt. “You need to learn how to play nice with girls. Asshole.”

Reece stumbles away, leaving me on the ground and Caydon speechless and maybe even a little turned on.

“Do yourself a favor. Stay away from Reece. And stay the fuck away from Hannah,” Caydon warns me.

“I enjoy it when they fight back, Caydon. By the way, have you talked to Hannah? Do you think that she is still yours? Don’t you know that she was never yours to begin with?” I snicker and allow the truth to flow from my mouth.

Caydon can barely keep it together. “Keep your mouth shut before I finish what Reece started.”

“Nope. I’ve been waiting for this day since we were in high school. Once you got Hannah, you strutted around this town like you were something. Truth is, you are nothing but a tatted up piece of white trash. I get why Hannah wanted you. All of the good girls want to slum it…get a taste of the bad boy. When it comes down to it, Caydon, the good girls will always go back to their own kind.” I don’t mean it. I just want to get him to think.

I think I’m doing a good job. “Yeah, you might be right, Nash. But know this…every good girl wants a bad boy inside of her. Guys like you have to live with the knowledge that even though they are fucking you, they are thinking about me.”

I need to jar his memory. I need to invoke anger to make him remember. “Maybe. That’s what the hood rats are for, Caydon. I can have the trophy wife and the whores…like Reece.”

His fist meets the spot where Reece first hit me. I fall to the ground for a second time and don’t bother to get up. “Don’t you ever…ever refer to her as a hood rat or a whore. Don’t even look at her.”

Well…well…well. He may not remember her, but he sure as hell wants to keep her safe. Old habits die hard.

I groan in pain. Maybe I’m faking it a little. A couple of girls I know walk by. Without even having to ask they drop to their knees to help me. The other girl, Summer, attends to Caydon.

“What did he do, Caydon?” Summer appears to find my incapacitation amusing.

“You know…acting like typical Nash.” Caydon doesn’t elaborate because he would have to admit that Reece gets under his skin.

Summer links her arm through Caydon’s arm. “C’mon, let’s go inside. Hailey and Harper can take care of Nash.”

Caydon peeks over his shoulder. My performance is complete for tonight. I may have jumped to recovery a little too soon because he is staring at me with his lips hanging open.

I’ll give it to Caydon. He’s still a cocky son of a bitch. After all this time, he still thinks he can take me. He knows that I’m a boxer…a damn good one. When in the hell is he going to catch on that I’m letting him win?

As Hailey and Harper fight over which one can help me, I watch Caydon closely. Before he enters the house, something sets him off. He practically breaks down the front door. I need to know what set him off. It has to have something to do with Hannah.

Leaving Hailey and Harper in a trail of dust, I scramble to the house. I want an up close and personal account of what is going on.

Caydon finds Reece sitting quietly in a corner with Maria. He jerks her up from the chair she is sitting in. His arm hits Maria’s cup and beer sprays the wall.

“What in the hell are you doing, Caydon?” Maria screams.

Caydon has drawn a crowd. Everyone is dying to see what angered Caydon to this point.

“Because of you, I missed a call from my girlfriend, and I got into a fight.” Caydon points his finger in Reece’s face.

Reece’s brown eyes are wide but not fearful. The cor
ners of Reece’s mouth curl into a smirk. “I think you have that wrong, Caydon. You started the fight. I finished it.”

She’s a feisty, little thing. I’ll give her that. Good. Caydon’s met his match.

Caydon cages her in resting his arms on each side of her head. She still doesn’t flinch. “Listen to me. I know your type. You’re the cute, college girl who plays the quiet, little victim to get a guy’s attention. It’s just a façade to get guys like me and Nash to chase after your pussy.”

I wasn’t chasing after her pussy. Don’t get me wrong, I will probably think about her pussy later when I’m alone. Right now, I’m only concerned with making things right.

Reece doesn’t break a sweat. She’s not even a little intimidated. “Oh, Caydon. It’s not my pussy you are chasing after. Is it?”

Reece pushes Caydon’s arms down and walks around him. Peeking over her shoulder, she quips, “Good luck with Hannah.”

  Oh, snap!

Reece continues her journey away from the party. I don’t think there is a mouth in the room that is not open. Finally, someone put Caydon in his place. Everyone waits patiently to see Caydon’s next move.

He thrashes around and knocks multiple chairs over. Shorty grabs a hold of him and ushers him outside. Although their voices are low and jumbled, I can hear Shorty giving Caydon a rash of shit for his behavior.

I’m startled by the voice behind me. “How are you feeling, Nash?” I feel a warm hand trail up and down my back.

  Harper.

I know what Harper wants me. The question is do I want to give her any part of me.

I’m a guy. Of course I’ll give…or get something from her.

  ***

“Fuck, Harper.” My cock moves in and out of her wet mouth. My fingers twist through her long, blond hair. I push her head toward my pelvic area making her gag on my dick. “Don’t fucking stop.”

Harper whimpers as her sweet lips move up and down my shaft. “Use your hand with your mouth.” Like a good girl, she obeys.

Urging Harper to continue I groan. “Can I come in your mouth?”

With her mouth full of me, her wicked grin spreads. “Uh huh,” she muffles.

Thank god she gave me the go ahead because I’m so close. I roar as I let myself go. Harper keeps her mouth on me until every last bit of me is empty. As she removes the edge of her lips from my skin, it makes a popping sound. She wipes the bottom of her lip with her wrist and stands up.

“Want a drink?” I grab my beer from the unfamiliar nightstand. This is the disadvantage of having sex at a party. I can’t offer the poor girl a drink of water or mouthwash because it’s not my house. “Maybe I can find you a bottle of water.”

Harper’s blue eyes survey the room. “It looks like a bathroom.” She points to a door across the room. “I’ll be right back. You’ll still be here?”

  I’d rather not be.

  “Sure.”

Within minutes Harper is back. I barely had enough time to tuck myself back in my jeans. She pushes me onto the bed and lies on top of me. We’re face to face. I can smell the mint on her breath as she tries to kiss me. I quickly turn my head to the side.

Harper jerks her head up but her body remains on mine. “What the fuck, Nash?”

“Don’t take it personally. I don’t kiss,” I tell her.

I don’t kiss. The only girl I kiss is Hannah. Kissing equals bonding. And I have no intention of bonding with Harper.

“So, every girl I’ve ever seen you disappear with into bedrooms you’ve never kissed?” Harper asks in disbelief.

“Have you ever heard from anyone that I’m an amazing kisser?” I retort. “Nope. You haven’t. Because I have never kissed them.”

“Why?” She’s no longer angry. Harper is curious.

“Kissing is too intimate. It’s like lovemaking or some shit.” I bite at her neck trying to take her mind off of her question. I don’t like to be grilled.

“You don’t want to make love to me?” she moans as I attack her earlobe with my tongue.

I stop licking her neck and earlobe. She whines in protest. “Would you call what we are doing lovemaking?” I pose the question. “You like my body. I like yours. Humans are just animals, and like every animal, they have simple instincts that they can’t ignore, no matter how civilized they attempt to act.”

It’s a fact. Harper doesn’t want me any more than I want her. Maybe I should have a little more respect for the girl who was just on her knees sucking me off, but I don’t. I’m going to fuck her. While I’m fucking her, I’m going to imagine she’s Hannah. And I’m going to fuck her hard.

Rolling her over my body, I press mine to hers. “Let’s fuck.”

Harper’s pout bends into a smile. “Okay.”

Man, that was way too easy. I stand up shedding my jeans once more. Harper scoots out of her leggings and panties. My cock is already hard as she spreads herself open for me.

I don’t want to look at Harper when I bang her. “Turn over. I want to get you from behind.”

Harper flips herself over. I grab a condom from my pants pocket and quickly cover my cock. I drag Harper’s ass toward the edge of the bed. I drive into Harper fast and hard. She gasps, taking my length into her wet core like a champ.

Thrusting into her over and over again, I hear the sound of skin slapping together. The deeper I shove myself into Harper, the more she moans. I want to tell her to be quiet, but I don’t. Shut the fuck up, for Christ’s sake.

I focus on the feeling. I allow my mind to drift off into the fantasy that Harper is Hannah. Closing my eyes, I imagine Hannah taking all my length into her tight pussy. I visualize Hannah whimpering as I go balls deep into her over and over again. It may be sick, but it’s working.

I feel a tingling sensation build in my belly and travel to the base of my dick. A few more pumps and I’ll work the feeling to the top of it. I begin grunting and hammering the shit out of Harper’s cunt. She’s panting and moaning like she likes it, but the truth is I don’t give a fuck if she does or not. Pump…pump…pump.

My load shoots into the condom, and I hear Harper scream my name. She’s still moving her ass around in the air when I pull myself from her. Easy…this isn’t an audition.

Satiated and messy she flops onto her backside. “Thank you.” Your welcome?

I chuck the condom into the trashcan and pull my jeans up. “For what?” I laugh. “Fucking you?”

  “Yeah,” she answers honestly.

Harper covers herself with a blanket as I walk to the bedroom door trying to escape. I glance back at her. “Anytime.”

The sad part is I feel empty and unfulfilled. After I think about it some more, I think I could have achieved the same emotion by eating an ice cream cone. It’s all the same. The brain craves the ice cream. The human consumes the ice cream and it feels good while eating it. It’s the after effect that sucks. The guilty feeling of consuming something you know is bad for your body. Eating the ice cream cone makes you feel awesome, hitting all your pleasure nerves momentarily, but the pleasure doesn’t last. It’s just a quick burst.

The same goes for sex with random girls. Every time I’m with a new girl, it feels awesome boning her. My brain looks forward to that huge rush of an orgasm. And then I orgasm and feel the rush. Then I crash. The momentary burst of really intense pleasure and fun is suddenly over within minutes. I feel flat, depleted, and empty.

However, there is no “Clear history” in life. And I have to live with my choices. If I really want to change, I’d stop doing it. Clearly, the emptiness is not enough for me to stop. Feeling something, even if it is just for a few seconds, is better than feeling nothing at all.

  Chapter Twelve

  Weeks Later

Hannah finally did it. She broke Caydon just like she broke me.

I see him down shot after shot trying to numb the pain of rejection. If Caydon didn’t hate me so much, I might consider joining him. Let’s have a sympathy toast…shall we? To fu
cking the same girl for years!

I knew Caydon found out about Hannah the minute I saw Summer draped over him sticking her tongue in his mouth. Caydon was loyal to Hannah the entire time they were ‘together’. It’s a shame Hannah couldn’t return the same sentiment. If Caydon thought that he and Hannah had a future together, Summer would be on her ass. Instead, Caydon plays Summer’s game, pretending that he loves every minute of what she is offering.

Caydon is loaded. If I had a quarter every time he’s claimed he was sober tonight, I’d having a pretty good chunk of change. He’s still proclaiming his sobriety after everyone has seen him fall off of his chair while slurring his words with half an eye open. It’s pathetic.

If this were years ago, before Hannah got in the middle of it all, I’d help him out. Hell, I’d like to help him now, but he wouldn’t accept my help in a million years. Instead, I watch him insult Reece whenever he gets the chance. And then he tumbles away with Summer into a vacant bedroom. I can’t watch this. It’s too damn sad. Alternatively, I find a cold beer and a warm body.

Just before I lead my redheaded fuck target to a private location, Reece appears out of nowhere begging for my help.

Reece is running down the hallway. She’s beyond frightened. “Nash! Nash! Come here. Please.” She disappears into a bedroom.

I’m freaking out a little. I don’t know what I’m about to stumble upon. Once I’m in the doorway, I see Caydon lying in his own vomit. It’s impossible for me not to feel guilt when I see Caydon like this. I should have been a better friend. I should have listened to him when he wanted me to stay away from Hannah. I didn’t. This betrayal I will never forgive myself for.

Losing the love of your life because she left you for your best friend is probably the worst scenario that could happen. First, you lose the object of your affection. And then you lose the one person who knows you better than you know yourself…your best friend. I’ll be damned if I lose Caydon now.

“What the fuck is going on?” I drop to Reece’s side.
