“I’ve got food, bedding, and other stuff for him in the car, too.”

“Oh, Alex. Thank you. I’m…this is wonderful.”

She leaned over to kiss him again. The kiss turned passionate and before long he’d pulled her onto his knees. She could feel his hands under her shirt undoing her bra. When her breasts fell free he lifted her shirt and sucked on one nipple while he teased the other. It wasn’t long before Kallie was moaning softly.

He stood her up and ordered her to strip and not to move. When she was naked before her, he seemed to be drinking her in with his eyes. Kallie had noticed that he seemed to really enjoy looking at her body, and it pleased her. He reached out with one hand and ran it slowly from her neck down her body until reaching the nest between her legs. He wrapped his fingers in her hair and gently tugged until she was forced to step even closer to him, her legs slightly apart.

Hooking a finger between her outer lips, he stroked her and it was all Kallie could do not to beg for more. It was hard to keep still but somehow she managed until he pushed in a second finger. She subconsciously pushed against them and he grunted.

  “Naughty girl.”

  “I’m sorry, Sir.”

He kept playing with his fingers, but he added his thumb to the mix and used it to rub her clit. She was fighting a losing battle not to react. Her breathing was faster, and she could hear her heart pounding in her chest. He pressed and rubbed his thumb against the bead, and Kallie gasped loudly.

Alex immediately pulled her face down onto his lap. He smacked her hard twice and then licked her cheeks before hitting her again. It stung, but it felt wonderful. He began to hit and then to rub along from her slit back to her anus.

  Hit—rub.

  Hit—rub.

Biting her lip to stop herself from crying out Kallie saw him rummaged in his jeans’ pocket and pulled out a condom. Then he made her stand again so he could pull off his jeans. Kallie had to look away as his hard cock sprang free—she wanted to take it in her mouth and make him suffer the way he was making to her.

Instead, he made her straddle him and lowered her slowly onto his covered shaft. He put her hands on his shoulders and then gripped her hips. Together they moved with Alex setting the pace. With her legs spread wide he pushed his cock in deep as he rocked and pulled her. Her clit rubbing against his groin felt so good.

When she climaxed Alex increased his speed, pulling her down hard on his cock before lifting her up slightly. This continual movement made her clit hit against his pelvic bone. Grunting with each stroke Alex suddenly gave a hard jolt and held her down tight. She felt his shudder and heard his yell, and it made her second orgasm erupt. She fell forward as she gasp for breath with Alex panting in her ear as his arms left her hips so he could hold her safely.

With his mouth close to her ear he whispered. “You’re so exhilarating, Kallie. I just can’t get enough of you. I want to be close to you all the time.”

Kallie got a rush of warmth at his words. She kissed him, and he returned it with such passion that Kallie could almost hear her heart singing. Only Zeus demanding attention made them move. Alex picked up her clothes and his as they came back into the house. He went into the bathroom and kept hold of Kallie’s.

When he returned with his jeans back on he said, “I love seeing you naked.”

  “I’m glad.”

Grinning Alex reluctantly handed over her clothing, and he watched as she dressed then Kallie made them both a coffee. They sat on the couch in the family room to drink. Zeus had found a leaf and was attacking it ferociously as they watched. It was comical watching him bark and then leap onto it. Alex had his arm thrown casually across Kallie’s shoulders, and she leant in until she nestled in the crook of his arm.

Zeus quickly tired of the leaf and curled up on the floor. In no time at all they heard his little snuffling puffs of air as he fell asleep.

Later in the afternoon the two of them finished clearing the yard. Alex had brought tools over and left them at Kallie’s a few weeks earlier. Kallie had been so pleased to have the help. What took them a few hours each weekend would have taken her weeks to do alone.

She had to admit, having Alex help certainly made the job easier, and at last the bushland surrounding her house was cleared for about six metres all around. Only a few trees were close, but Alex had trimmed the lower branches away for her.

Zeus had the time of his life running back and forth and generally getting in the way. He’d pull some of the bushes around after Kallie had piled it all up, and when she chased him, he thought it was a new game and ran faster, trying to drag the large branches. Alex sat on a stump laughing at the pair of them until Zeus finally collapsed exhausted from the game.

“Come on, Kall. Let’s get cleaned up, and I’ll take you to dinner.”

The pair of them had a quick shower. Alex unloaded the goodies he’d bought for Zeus, and then Kallie locked Zeus in the family room while they drove down the mountain to eat in the same Italian restaurant they’d eaten in the day she’d moved. Both of them relaxed with their conversation coming easily.

“I’ll miss you while I’m away, Kall.”

“I’m glad because I know I’m going to miss you.”

“I actually going to feel happier knowing you’ve got Zeus. I know he’s only a puppy, but at least he’ll bark, and you’ll have him for company while I’m away.”

“I’m so glad we got the fencing in order, Alex.”

“I know. I’d hung off buying you a dog until we’d checked everywhere for breaks. I had my fingers crossed you wouldn’t succumb and buy a puppy.”

“I have to admit the thought crossed my mind a few times, but I’ve been so busy trying to get the house organised and settle in at work.”

“How’s the new PA going? You said he was starting last week and I forgot to ask.”

“He seems fine. Has a lot of experience in the industry, too, which makes it a lot easier. He knows the jargon, so I don’t have to fill him in. I think we are going work just fine together.”

“Are you upset no one from the studio wanted the job?”

“I was in the beginning, but when I talked to some of the staff I realised how happy they were with their jobs. It would have been unfair to make them so something else. Anyway, Bruce seems to fit in really well.”

“I’m glad it’s working. Having a good PA makes life so much easier. I’d hate to think Janice would leave. I try and spoil her.” He gave a laugh. “I’d try bribery if she said she wanted to leave.”

They spent the remainder of their meal talking work, but it was enjoyable. Alex seemed to take a genuine interest in what she did and he gave Kallie an insight into his working day. Alex seemed to have finally put aside the harsh cold persona and Kallie had almost forgotten what he had been like when they first met. She knew the frozen Dom hovered in the background, but lately he seemed to be even more open in his feelings. Still she decided to just take each day with Alex as it came. The longer they were together, the less chance Mr. Arrogant Dom had to resurface.

  Chapter Fifteen

Kallie got a text message from Alex to say he and the crew had arrived safely. They were going to rest up that day and would begin filming the next. She sent back a reply wishing him good luck. She’d have loved to write she missed him, but she worried he might think it was too emotional.

Kallie had decided this would be a perfect time for her to really examine her feelings for him now he was away. Even though they only met and started going out a few months ago, Alex had set up camp in her heart. She tried to avoid the phrase “falling in love” in her mind, but all the same she knew she’d be devastated if he left her. The few times Stacy had mentioned Alex being more relaxed and happier made Kallie think she had a chance, and she kept her fingers crossed. Even Dan had often remarked how Alex seemed more open, and he put it all down to his relationship with Kallie.

It excited her when, over the next two weeks, he sent her a few text messages. He e
ven rang her few times. The reception wasn’t good, so their conversations were rather hurried, but at least she knew he was thinking of her. Once he’d even told her he missed her, and he’d mentioned it a few times in his texts.

Alex would arrive back in a few days. Kallie and Stacy were sitting in a Spanish restaurant they’d discovered. The two of them were now meeting for lunch once or twice a week. Kallie held out a tiny key and asked Stacy to unlock her collar for her.

  “Are you sure, Kallie?”

“Yes. It seems wrong. I’m involved with Alex. I know he isn’t going to collar me, and yet I’m wearing another Dom’s around my neck. It feels so wrong, and I want it off. I’m ready.”

  “Okay.”

Stacy fit the tiny key into the back of the collar. It took her a few wriggles to get the collar to unlock and then open. Kallie took the open collar in her hand and looked down at it.

  “Feels so weird without it.”

“I can imagine! I’d feel funny if I had to remove mine.”

They both looked at the collar in Kallie’s hand. To a person in the vanilla world, it wouldn’t mean a thing, but both subs understood the hidden meaning. It had been over nine years since Peter had locked it around her neck. She felt her eyes fill with tears, and Stacy hugged her.

“I wonder what Alex will say?”

  “Knowing Alex, nothing.”

Stacy laughed. “You’re probably right. When’s he due back?”

“Day after tomorrow. He told me it takes a bit of travelling to get back. They have to drive to Palmas airport about four hours away. They’re stopping there overnight and then catching a flight from there to the international airport at Brasília where they get a plane to come home. They land back here about three in the afternoon, I think.”

  “Wonder when he’ll contact you?”

“I told you he’s sent me a few texts messages, and we’ve spoken a couple of times, but they’ve been short conversations, mainly about what he’d doing. He’s never mentioned seeing me when he gets back, but I hope he does.”

“At least he’s contacting you. I know he never used to contact his subs when he was away.”

“He’s even said he was missing me a few time.”

  “Yep, he’s a changed man.”

Kallie giggled. “Maybe there’s hope for him yet.”

“I have to admit he is so much different with you than any of previous subs. He’s never offered to take them on one of their trips. Certainly never took them car shopping. You’re the only one he’s ever bought a birthday present for. Oh, and let’s not forget he’s even slept over at your house—that’s never ever happened before! This is going to work, I know it!”

Kallie looked at her as Stacy nodded. Kallie held up both hands with her fingers crossed and breathed out heavily. “Fingers crossed,” she said.

“It’s true, Kallie. This is different. He’s different.”

“Oh I hope so, Stacy. I really hope so. I’d be heartbroken if he told me it was over. That damn man has wormed his way into my heart, and it would hurt so bad if he called it quits.”

  * * * *

The two weeks away were busy, but Alex revelled in it all. He’d been rather down when they were flying to Brazil. His mother had rung the night before he flew out. It had been a depressing conversation as far as Alex was concerned. After inquiring about his health and about how his latest documentary was going, she dropped a bombshell.

  “I’ve left Gary.”

“What? Hell, Mother, you haven’t even been married a year.”

“I know, but I met this wonderful man in Italy and…well, you know how it is.”

“No, Mother, I don’t. Surely you should have at least tried a little harder to make your marriage work.”

“Don’t be so stuffy, Alex,” she exclaimed. “If you change your mind why should you stay with someone? It’s boring to stay with the same person. Anyway I saw Gary last week to sign the divorce papers and he’s met someone new. When are you going to dip your feet in the marriage fun, Alex?”

“Consider the role models I’ve had—never.”

His mother had laughed gaily and, after asking after Dan and Stacy, had hung up. It sent Alex into a sombre mood, and he wondered if Kallie would leave him.

These last few months with Kallie had been amazing, and he didn’t want them to end, but what if she left him? That, in turn, made him think perhaps he should back off emotionally with her. Alex doubted he could cope if she were to leave him. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but how could he make sure she would stay with him? What would happen if she got bored with him the way his parents seemed to get bored with their partners?

During the flight he kept going over the conversation he’d had with his mother and how easily she dealt with leaving people or having them leave her. Alex knew he could never treat it as so blasé. It would devastate him if Kallie were to tell him she was leaving him. Still by the time they settled in the camp Alex had recovered his good mood. In this amazing country no one could be depressed.

The crew members got up early each morning and weren’t back in their rooms until late at night. After a few frustrating no-shows, their guide took them deeper into the park and to their delight, they found a large group of otters. These friendly gregarious mammals were quite happy to show off to the visiting crew.

Delighted Alex and the others returned to the same area over the next three days. The hours of footage they managed to capture looked amazing. As well as the otters, the crew filmed black Caymans and a small pod of Amazon River dolphin.

There were so many different bird species that their camerawoman started taking Polaroids and writing the names of the birds on them so they could identify each one more easily once back home.

Their camerawoman was an Irish woman, nicknamed Bluey because of her long, bright red curly hair. Because it was wild and untamed, she usually pulled it back into a ponytail and pulled a cap on her head. The locals were very interested in Bluey because they were amazed she’d been born with her bright hair and its colour wasn’t out of a bottle. She delighted them by taking pictures with the Polaroid camera and handing them out. A gaggle of children and adults giggling and laughing always seemed to follow her whenever they were in camp.

One time, the crew members camped overnight on a platform overlooking one of the many oxbow lakes, and they were able to get plenty of good footage of various animals coming down at dusk and dawn to drink. Alex thought it amazing lying under the stars. They were so bright and clear. He felt he could reach out and touch them. Tucked up in his sleeping bag Alex knew he’d never forget falling asleep listening to the amazing songs of the jungle.

One afternoon their guide suddenly warned them to be quiet and ready with the camera. He pointed ahead. Stillness suddenly descended in the forest as they hid behind the bushes alongside a smaller oxbow lake. The whole jungle seemed to be holding its breath.

Alex had to choke back a gasp of excitement as a magnificent jaguar leapt from a nearby tree into the shallows and dragged out a large fish before disappearing into the trees with the fish clamped in its jaws. He hadn’t even spotted it lying in wait on one of the branches. Its amazing coat blended in perfectly in the dappled sunlight. Great excitement filled the team—to see the beautiful animal with its tan coat and the distinctive black rosettes was breathtaking.

“Tell me you got that, Bluey.” Alex held his breath, waiting for her answer.

“I got it, boss. I got every single fucking move from when it was perched in that tree!”

Their guide seemed immensely happy to have been able to show them the wonderful creature and Alex had a sudden wish that Kallie had been beside him to witness it. He knew he would have to tell her every detail of the amazing encounter now indelibly printed in his mind.

All in all it was a very successful trip, and the entire crew were sad when they finally packed up their gear to leave. The last day their guide invited them to his home for a feast and A
lex made sure he left a considerable donation when they returned to their rooms to pack.

The phone reception was Alex’s only disappointment—it wasn’t that good. He missed Kallie so much more than he thought he would, but he’d managed a couple of brief calls and some text messages. It had begun to scare him a lot that he would think of her continually. What if she wasn’t feeling the same way?

This must be what Dan had been talking about when he told Alex he hoped he’d meet someone and fall for them. Suddenly he wondered if he was falling in love with Kallie. He knew he’d never had these feelings for anyone before.

  Was this love?

What would happen if she didn’t return it?

What would happen if a few months down the track she decided to leave him? Even worse, how would he be able to cope if they married but then, like his parents, she wanted out?

Throughout the two weeks he kept going through it all in his head, playing out this scenario and that. Each time it ended with him being hurt. He thought about Dan and Stacy. They were happy together, but he thought they were the exception not the norm. Both his parents had probably gone through at least fifteen partners each, so as far as Alex was concerned they were the rule.

Alex was honest enough to admit it would devastate him if Kallie left. He knew he wouldn’t be able to handle the pain. Somehow he would have to protect himself.

Toward the end of their stay Alex suddenly came to a decision. As soon as possible after he got home he would get Kallie to sign a contract. Once done he could slip into his Dom persona safe in the knowledge that they were together. He would have to hide all his feelings from her. Stupidly he had convinced himself if she discovered how much she meant to him then she would certainly leave. Maybe he could steel his heart without a chance of getting hurt.

He thought about talking to Dan but realised his old friend would probably tell him to stop being a fool and to take a risk. But he just couldn’t do it. Every time he imagined a future with Kallie beside him as a partner rather than just a sub, he kept going back to the idea of her not committing and not loving him. It would break him completely if she left. Maybe he was wrong, but he had no way of knowing. He could only go by his own experiences and those of his parents.
