This stone ranges in color from orange to orange-red, and it may have inclusions or bands of brown, yellow, or white. One form, spiderweb carnelian, has multiple threadlike bands of white running through it. Carnelian is a translucent, vividly colored stone.

Celestite
A translucent blue with multiple facets, celestite is an incredibly beautiful crystal. The color can range from the lightest to the deepest of blues, with tinges of gray, green, or violet within. Some celestite is also yellow or white, but blue is most common. It is a high-vibration stone.

Blue is one of the colors of chalcedony, a silica crystal made up of morganite and quartz. It has a soft, almost ethereal, blue color and a lustrous surface. It is a relatively hard crystal and makes beautiful jewelry.

Chrysoberyl
Alexandrite (see here) is one form of chrysoberyl. The most common forms are translucent irregular rocks in shades of yellow and green. It is a very hard stone, so it holds up well when used with other stones or carried in the pocket.

A variety of chalcedony, chrysoprase comes in a variety of green shades. The stone is opaque and may have banding of white, brown, or black. Chrysoprase may also be called prase.

This bright red mineral may have a dull or a lustrous appearance. It is made from mercury sulfide and may also be called vermillion. It may have mineral inclusions with a gold color and nonmetallic luster. It is known as the merchant’s stone.

Citrine
This yellow crystal may come in clusters and geodes, or it may come in individual points or polished stones. Naturally occurring citrine is yellow and translucent. Some people also create a citrine-like stone by heat-treating amethyst until it turns yellow. Heat-treated amethyst/citrine tends to have a more vivid yellow color. It may share the same metaphysical properties as naturally occurring citrine, although they may be slightly less or not as consistent. Many people prefer working only with the natural stone because its energy is consistent.

Danburite
This clear stone comes in many colors, with banding in white or gray. It is a high-vibration crystal. It is a relatively hard stone, and it may come polished, in clusters, or in points. All danburite basically has the same energetic qualities, although you can use different colors with the specific chakras those colors correspond to: yellow (solar plexus), white (crown), pink (crown), light purple (third eye).

This unique crystal is so named because of its resemblance to a rose. It is a gypsum stone in the colors of sand, with band
s of white across the top of each “petal.” The formation is unique, as the stone is rounded with multilayered petals. It’s also known as a selenite rose. Be careful with gypsum because it is soft and brittle. Don’t use water or salt to cleanse this crystal.

Diamond
Rough diamonds look very different from their jewelry counterparts because they have not been cut or polished. Rough diamonds are translucent, and they may be found in many colors, such as white, black, gray, or yellow. They tend to be very small and expensive. All diamonds, regardless of color, are essentially used in the same way. Colored diamonds sold as jewelry are often treated or enhanced in some manner.
