Brick: An Urban Paranormal

Page 13

So, what he’s fine. He’s not all of that. Ugh, and I bet he likes all of the attention. He’s an arrogant asshole, I thought.

I went to the lady’s room to freshen up my lipstick, and to use the bathroom. I went back to the ballroom after I was finished. I was bored because Shawn was still talking to his friends. My feet began to hurt, and Brick was nowhere in sight. I walked out the back of the house where a small concert was being held. I didn’t know what pulled me into that direction until I walked outside. Gold Christmas lights surrounded the back yard, and a small stage floated inside the pool.

“You ditched the lame?” a voice said from behind me. I turned around, and Brick had a smirk on his face.

“Why are you talking to me?” I asked.

“We are still connected,” he said.

“Umm, pardon me. Can I borrow him for a second?” Amerie asked me. She wanted Brick, and it was written all over her face.

“Sure,” I replied before I walked away.

“There you are!” Shawn called out to me.

Why did he have to find me? I asked myself.

“I got a little carried away with my buddies. No one can discuss politics the way we do,” Shawn said.

“I totally believe you,” I agreed.

“So, were you and Midas like friends or something?” Shawn asked me.

“We passed each other in the hallway at school a few times,” I replied.

“Are you sure because I noticed the way he looked at you,” Shawn said.

  “We fooled around,” I admitted.

I wasn’t good at lying and didn’t think it was that important for Shawn to know, but he kept asking.

“Whoa! You messed around with that guy?” Shawn asked.

“No offense to you, but I didn’t come here to get interrogated,” I replied. He was ready to respond, but Brick appeared out of nowhere. Brick stood next to us with a glass of champagne in his hand.

“I thought I heard my name being mentioned as I was walking by,” Brick said while eyeing Shawn up and down. I texted Risha, and told her it was nice being her friend because I wanted to die. Brick and Shawn were being assholes, and I was afraid of it turning ugly.

“Maybe we can do lunch one day with you, and your wife. Matter of fact I would love to meet her,” Shawn said. Brick did mention something about coming with his wife. I looked around for Casha, but I didn’t see her.

“Funny you said that because you are with my wife,” Brick replied.

“WHAT!” Shawn yelled and Brick laughed.

“We are separated, but I must say she definitely downgraded,” Brick said to Shawn.

“She downgraded? Buddy, what do you do for a living again? Oh, that's right. You make water fountains,” Shawn said, and laughed at his own corny joke. I covered my face because I was embarrassed for him.

“I’m a plumber too. Ask Nabila, and she’ll explain how much water I plunged from out of her fountain. Matter of fact, I’m her personal brick layer,” Brick said. I was past embarrassed, but I was also turned on. I had a dripping in my panties because Brick wasn't playing fair.

“Seriously? While I’m on a fucking date, Brick? Where is Casha or whatever her name is?” I asked him. I didn’t want to take it there, but I was still pissed off that I caught her in his room naked. I was also pissed off because I couldn’t stop thinking about him, but he was busy being an asshole.

“She’s back at my domain. Can I speak to you in private?” he asked me.

  “No,” I replied.

“I will have you escorted out of here!” Shawn yelled at Brick. I covered my mouth to keep from laughing because that would’ve been impossible to do.

“Give us a minute Shawn,” I said.

I grabbed Brick’s hand, and we walked inside the house. I waited until we got to the end of the long and dark hallway before I shoved him into the wall. He picked me up, and held me against the wall.

“Put me down before someone sees us!” I gritted.

He pressed his lips against mine, and I moaned into his mouth. My pussy throbbed uncontrollably, and I was ready to demand that he enter me. He stood me up, and I fixed my dress.

“I was thinking about you,” he admitted.

“Thinking about what’s between my legs,” I spat.

“I was thinking about that too, but not being able to keep your mouth shut crossed my mind even more. I was actually getting use to you yelling at me. I find it very attractive,” he said and I blushed.

“Ditch your date. I will meet you outside, and don’t make me wait too long,” he said. He kissed my lips before he swaggered down the hall. I couldn’t get enough of the man even if my life depended on it. I walked around the party looking for Shawn, but he left me. I owed him an apology because of what Brick did, but I kind of felt like Shawn patronized Brick. Shawn was a nice man, but because he had an elite circle of friends he felt above everyone else. I felt some type of way about that myself. I changed my mind on apologizing to Shawn because I didn’t like how he treated Brick.

Brick was waiting for me in front of the house. I walked down the steps and he held his hand out to me. We walked hand in hand while Shawn’s friends stared at us.

“It's a lake through the woods on the other side,” he said. He carried my heels as we walked through the woods to the lake.

“You know all of the prettiest sceneries,” I said.

“I spot them when I’m in the sky,” Brick replied.

I unbuttoned his silk blazer and dress shirt. My hands roamed over his chest, and abs like it was the first time. He placed my hand to his lips, and kissed it. White birds sat up in the trees and watched us. They reminded me of ghosts. They came from out of nowhere, and disappeared like they were never there. He ripped my dress opened, and outlined the symbol of wings on my back with his finger.

“I don’t understand who I am anymore, but when I’m with you it doesn't matter,” he said.

“Did you see a vision of my wings?” I asked.

“I saw the vision when I saw you at the party. I wish I was there when it happened. I didn’t mean to hurt you like this,” Brick said.

  “But you did,” I replied.

“Let me see you,” he said.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

  “The wings—the goddess,” he replied.

“I don’t know what to do,” I said.

“It’s connected to your spirit. It comes whenever you want it to come,” he replied. A cloud of birds came out of my body like ghosts. They spiraled around me like a tornado, and disappeared. A thin, pale-pink, sheer gown comfortably draped over my body, and gave me extra curves. My wings opened like theater curtains. I should've freaked out, but all of it began to feel normal.

  “Beautiful,” Brick said.

He transformed into the form I loved the most. He sat on a huge rock, and I sat between his legs. I was like a butterfly, and he was like a eagle compared to me. He playfully kissed the side of my face, and I swatted him away. His long locs fell into his face, and I pushed them back to kiss him.

“I don’t love her anymore,” Brick blurted out.

“I don’t want to talk about her,” I replied.

“Shawn really likes you,” he said with agitation.

  “Are you jealous?” I asked.

“I’m supposed to be,” he replied.

I snuggled against his chest, and he wrapped his wings around me. We talked until the sun came up. We didn’t psychically make love that night, but we did mentally. I was so in tune with him that it scared me. I wanted something forever, but I was afraid of getting hurt again. Brick wrapped his arms around me, and my stomach glowed.

What does this mean? I asked myself.

  Brick

I stayed awake to watch Nabila sleep peacefully in my arms. Her wings were soft like cotton. They were too perfect, and didn’t look made for flying. I didn’t want her to fly if she didn’t have to because then I would carry her through the sky.

  “Yo
u hold me like I’m a small puppy,” Nabila joked when she woke up.

“It’s in my nature to protect what belongs to me,” I replied and she blushed. I sat her on my lap, and she straddled me. Her dress rose to her waist, and her breasts pressed against my chest. I squeezed her bottom as I sucked on her neck. A slight giggle slipped from her lips, and the scent of her perfume was intoxicating. I have never met a woman who captured me the way she did in all of my existence. I was guilty of my actions because my selfishness led me to drag her into my world.

“I have to tell you something. I know it may sound crazy, but I think you came to me because I was ready for love,” she said.

  “Interesting,” I replied.

“Brick, I’m serious. I saw a shooting star one night, and I wished for a man that was so perfect that he wasn’t considered human. I didn’t want him until I was ready. I guess I was ready because you fell out of the sky,” she said. I didn't know how to respond because I didn’t believe in human myths. The night I fell happened unexpectedly. I was battling with another gargoyle, and my body stiffened. I thought it was because of hydration, but maybe Nabila was right. Magic existed on my planet, but not in human myths, and I couldn’t understand how it was tied into Nabila.

“I believe you,” I said. She smacked her teeth, and rolled her eyes at me.

  “What?” I asked.

“You are just saying that because you want some,” she replied.

“I believe in your theory, but not in the myth. It was destined for us to connect, but it didn’t have shit to do with a star,” I replied.

“You can’t vision it?” she asked.

“I saw it, but it still doesn’t mean it worked,” I said.

“You know everything, huh?” she asked.

  “Not everything,” I replied.

“Take me somewhere breathtaking,” Nabila said.

I placed her on my back, and flew away. I took her to another planet which was deserted. It was a very small planet that I kept hidden from everyone. The planet was dead when I discovered it. I used some of the water from Vada to give it life again. I took pieces from it, and placed it inside of my home on Earth. I called the planet, Star. Our planets were like plants because they needed water to survive.

“What is this place?” Nabila asked.

“I had a vision many years ago of this planet. I came here to look for answers, but the planet was already dead. I turned it into a small garden. It’s a secret hiding place,” I replied.

“Why didn’t you move here?” she asked.

“This home belongs to another kind. One day they might come back to look for answers too. It’s too small for gargoyles, so I figured it belonged to the fairies. I have never met one before, but I saw visions of them,” I replied.

“So, your heart isn't made of brick after all. You're my sweet giant,” she replied.

  “Only for you,” I said.

“Your world has many great things,” Nabila replied.

“It does now because you are in it,” I replied. She turned away from me and blushed.

“Why do you do that?” I asked.

“You say some of the sweetest things,” she said.

“Tomorrow might be a different day. You better enjoy it while it lasts,” I said. Nabila pushed me, and I pulled her down onto the grass. I rested on my elbows when she straddled me. She leaned forward and kissed my lips. My hands squeezed her breasts as she deepened the kiss. She clamped down on my lip when I pierced through her tight opening. I squeezed her hips as I eased her down all of my length. I pulled her dress down to expose the succulent coconuts she had on her chest. I wrapped my tongue around her nipple, and her essence dripped on my shaft. I sank my teeth into her breast while she rocked back and forth on top of me. I fell back into the grass, and guided her hips. Her pussy choked my girth when she bucked forward.

“URRRRGHHHHHH,” I groaned. She moaned and screamed my name as her legs trembled. I wanted to explode inside of her, but it was too soon. I wanted to tell her to slow down because I was getting harder, but she seemed to enjoy it. My body betrayed me, and I released inside of her. I heard water splashing, but it wasn’t because of a waterfall. Nabila’s essence flowed down my shaft like a river. My goddess was so wet for me. I saw the spirits of her birds as they swarmed around her. A beautiful melody rang in my eardrums, and it possessed me. I rolled over on top of her, and pushed her legs up. Her juicy passion fruit glistened from intimacy. I thumbed at her clit as I filled her up. Her pussy dripped like a juicy peach. The singing pounded my head, and I plunged into her. Our wings connected and formed a love nest. She sucked my neck, and pulled my hair. I bit her cheek, and she pushed her breast into my mouth. We both were under a spell. A tear slid out my eye when I released inside of her. It was hard to explain, but she touched my soul and pulled emotions out of me from within.

“BRRICCCCKKKKKKKK!” she cried. I was still aroused after releasing inside of her. I pressed against her sensitive spot, and drilled into her until she couldn’t breathe. We sunk into the soil from my harsh strokes. I wanted to be inside of her womb.

“I need more,” she panted in my ear, and I gave her more.

What is this feeling? I thought.

  Rudan

I searched around my domain looking for the medallion. I banged on the wall in frustration.

  “Where is it?” Jonelius asked.

“I don’t know! It was here,” I replied.

“Do you know what will happen if he gets a hold of it? Our kind won’t exist anymore!” he yelled.

  “Someone stole it,” I replied.

“I want the medallion, and the girl. She has the mark of Urane! Urane is the goddess of the damn universe moron!” Jonelius said.

“I know who she is! I’m Neoth’s brother. I know about my damn family, so you can stop reminding me. I helped you get rid of them,” I replied.

“Midas will know everything with that medallion in his possession. He can’t interpret his visions or dreams, but he will now. He will see how much of a traitor you really are. I told you to get rid of him anyway, but you brought the monster here!” Jonelius yelled.

“I couldn’t get rid of him. Getting rid of his parents was bad enough. I betrayed them for nothing,” I said.

“You were envious of your strong brother. You were envious that Urane picked him to be her protector. You hated the Gods because they picked Neoth from birth to be king. You didn’t make the cut because of your deformity. You must’ve forgotten that your wings are disposable. Your life is meaningless without that medallion; it was the reason why I kept you around,” Jonelius said.

“What do you want me to do about Casha? She betrayed your kingdom,” I replied.

“Don’t mention that to anyone! Irin must think that Midas kidnapped her. He will cut his ties to this kingdom if he knew his wife betrayed him for a creature. I can’t go to war with Irin’s kingdom without Midas, and you know that. It’s best if Irin stays on our side,” he replied. He knocked over my books as he exited out of my domain.

  “What have I done?” I asked myself…

“What’s the matter brother?” Neoth asked.

“Why did she choose you?” I replied.

He sat down next to me by a lake on our planet. It was a place where we played when he and I were younger. I was a runt; my wings were small and I had a slight hunch in my back. Neoth was opposite. He was strong, and tall. He had the biggest wings throughout the planet. The females loved him because of his handsome features.

“She picked me to impregnate her, and spend the rest of my life protecting the universe,” he replied.

“You will be our king,” I replied.

“I don’t hold myself in higher position of any kind. I am Neoth—your brother,” he said. A bird flew above our heads, and covered us with its shadow. It landed inside of the lake, and on the bird sat Urane. She was a beautiful creature. Her voice was beautiful, and she was filled with magic. She lived in a stone tower that overlo
oked the planet. Many gargoyles couldn’t resist her, but she had eyes for only one. She flew off the bird, and landed in front of us. The scent which came off her skin, reminded me of a bed of fresh flowers. She placed a necklace with a medallion the shape of a star over Neoth’s head.

“I made that for you,” she said. She held her hand out, and he kissed it.
