It's a powerful novel in which the main character must face the demons of her birth and those of her own making if she wants to survive. It's raw in its approach to what life can be like when a young woman is set out on her own to live or die. The journey is painful for both character and author, but that’s what makes it such an amazing story to participate in.
This is the first novel that Charity Ayres completed, prior to her other three publications, and has been waiting to come out as the epic work it was meant to be. This is a great stand-alone in fiction but, Ms. Ayres admits, may end up being part of a trilogy.

Ms. Ayres is a Navy Veteran married to Active-Duty Navy, living in Virginia with two girls, two dogs, and three cats. Ms. Ayres also teaches high school English, reads whenever she has a moment of free time, and has a borderline obsession with coffee.
